1921 Morgan Silver Dollar

This is a 1921 Morgan silver dollar (the obverse shows Liberty with a Phrygian cap and wheat ears in her hair, while the reverse features a heraldic eagle with “ONE DOLLAR” and “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” inscribed).

Grade: AU-55 to AU-58 (About Uncirculated)
Why this range:
• There is only very slight rub/friction on the highest points: Liberty’s cheek, the top of her cap, and a tiny bit on her hair above the ear.
• The breast feathers on the eagle still show almost full detail, with just a touch of softness in the very center.
• Luster is still strong in the protected areas (around the stars, lettering, and between the eagle’s wings), which is typical of high-end AU coins.
• There are a few small rim dings and light bag marks (normal for the date), plus some scattered contact marks on both sides.
• The overall eye appeal is nice with original light golden-gray toning.
