Academic year 2025-2026
Rosary College provides a rigorous, liberal arts education steeped in Catholic tradition. Located in beautiful Greenville, South Carolina, with online course offerings, Rosary College provides an affordable opportunity for students seeking a balanced approach to developing their minds, characters, and faith.
Our program offers an Associate of Catholic Studies (ACS) Degree in Integrated Humanities. Students earning this degree can continue their college education by transferring to a four-year program at one of our partner colleges. Currently these include Thomas More College of Liberal Arts in New Hampshire, Ave Maria University in Florida, and the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. has approved the full first-year curriculum at Rosary College for credit transfer. More partner institutions will be announced soon!
The ACS is a fine stand-alone degree for those seeking to bolster their educational credentials with the depth of a solid liberal arts program or for those pursuing a career in the arts and trades not requiring a bachelor’s degree.

The faculty includes renowned scholars Joseph Pearce, Dr. R. Jared Staudt, and Fr. Dwight Longenecker. Courses are drawn from the tradition of the classical liberal arts, which has formed the greatest minds of Christendom. The mission of Rosary College is to continue this tradition, educating the great minds of the future.

“For a recent high school graduate, dual-enrolled homeschool student, or adult learner, Rosary College offers a faithful and affordable option. Catholic families in Greenville and across the country will benefit from the solid Catholic liberal arts foundation that Rosary College provides.”

Rosary College Courses Now Transferable to CUA

Rosary College—one of the few online Catholic colleges offering a rigorous Catholic homeschooling curriculum—has received transfer credit approval from The Catholic University of America (CUA) for its core courses. This marks a major step forward for families navigating dual enrollment programs for high school students who want a seamless path from homeschool to university.
In his discussion of Tolkien’s mythology, Joseph Pearce explains how myths reflect divine reality and transmit important truths. He analyzes The Hobbit, emphasizing its themes of adventure, bravery, and the moral growth of the characters. Pearce also examines The Lord of the Rings, emphasizing the work’s intricate mythology, the conflict between good and evil, and the profound influence of Tolkien’s Catholic faith. The short course consists of three lectures, which are as follows:
1. Tolkien’s Philosophy of Myth
2. The Hobbit
3. The Lord of the Rings
