Beautiful Hawaii $20 note from the 1934A series. These Hawaii notes are rare and have a great story behind them.
"Hawaii" notes were printed for the US armed forces stationed in Hawaii. In 1934 Hawaii was not yet a U.S. state which makes this note even cooler! The other part that makes this note rare is the reason behind the use of the ink. Had a "Hawaii" Note fallen into enemy hands it was then deemed worthless. Meaning the enemy couldn't use that currency to buy items for their side of the war effort.
Great piece of history in both currency collectors and war buffs!
