Andersen Narroline Sash Balancer for Double-Hung Windows

Replacement sash balancer is used on Narroline double-hung windows manufactured from 1968 to 2012. Size 837 - can be used to replace 823, 827 and 831. Balancer maintains the position of the window sash. They are found above the upper sash in the head jamb, and are located on each side of the window. The same balancer is used on both the left and right hand side of the window. When replacing balancers, we recommend replacing both balancers.

• Sash balancers are metal boxes that contain a nylon cord under tension.
• The balancer number is a code for the tension and the cord length.
• If you replace one balancer you should replace both balancers.
