This classic recording from the golden era of Andre Previn and the London Symphony Orchestra was recorded at London's much missed Kingsway Hall on September 28 & 29, 1973 and produced & engineered by the legendary EMI team of Christopher Bishop and Christopher Palmer. This release is simply exceptional. Features Holst's famous musical extravaganza known as "The Planets" performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Andre Previn. Mastered from the original master tapes from the Abbey Road Studios this extended resolution CD (XRCD24) from JVC brings the listener higher fidelity and improved audio quality by enhancing the process of mastering and manufacturing compact discs.
