Beautiful formal ware tuxedo french cuff set, in original box from high end Larter and Sons. From the turn of the century until the mid 30's these cufflinks were a common item in luxury men's stores such as Tiffany's.
The cufflinks are double sided, and along with the 3 studs all have genuine mother of pearl and white gold centers.
The 3 studs have the Larter mark in addition to the letter "P", which stands for "plumb gold". In years gone by, high end jewelry was often not stamped at all or when stamped the gold karat weight was very specific. Plumb gold indicated the studs have 13.5% not 14 % which is 14 kt gold in them. The cufflinks also have the Larter mark and other hallmarks that I can't make out.
