To install in new construction - attach box to stud, position box as needed with positioning tabs, attach paintable trim plate with screws supplied, tighten mounting wing securely against wall; for existing construction - use box without trim as template for your cut out hole, attach trim plate to box, pull wire and cables as required, install box in opening, tighten mounting wing securely against wall.
