Multi-purpose ammunition pouch, early cotton type
The early cotton type of the multi-purpose ammunition pouch is believed to be the earliest type, as it has "US" printed on the surface, whereas the type before the early cotton type of the multi-purpose ammunition pouch has "CASE AMMUNITIONP" printed on it.
As a general feature, the multi-purpose ammunition pouch is used with a sling over the shoulder. The early type is made of cotton, and the later type is made of nylon. Both types can be used with a sling over the shoulder or attached by passing a belt through them.
I obtained this in the 1990s, so I have owned it for about 35 years, but I am listing it as part of organizing my belongings.
