Game Ready is simple to use and more effective than a traditional ice pack. Game Ready delivers active pneumatic compression, which mimics natural muscle contractions. Rapidly circulating ice water cools the tissue surrounding the injury. The combined cold and compression helps the body to rid itself of edema (excess fluid that is trapped in body tissue and causes swelling) and reduces muscle spasms and pain. The faster, deeper and longer-lasting intramuscular cooling that Game Ready provides patients minimizes secondary tissue damage and helps them to recover faster. The portable GRPro 2.1 control unit provides cold therapy between 35°F to 50°F (when full of ice). Pressure, temperature and time are easily monitored and adjusted with the touch of a button or the turn of a dial.
