It can be placed directly above the sternotomy retractor. Three clips on its underside secure it to surgical drapes. Three sterile, disposable Gabbay-Frater Suture Guides can be placed on the holder's posts before or after it's positioned over the sternotomy. The Grunwald Holder provides a flat, steady, and secure surface for the suture guides, expediting placement and reducing clutter from numerous towel clips. The Grunwald Suture Guide Holder is crafted from stainless steel and can be steam autoclaved.
