This tunic has been made with care. While I cannot guarantee that it is pure silk, from research it passes all the tests. It quickly feels warm to the touch, it crumples quickly but then straightens quickly and it has a sheen that looks to be different colours in different light. Apparently, this is behaviour that polyester doesn't emulate. This could well be vintage Chinese silk. There is no maker's label, no care label, no fabric label which suggests homemade. There is an L sewn into the collar. The outer is a gorgeous rich red with a bamboo design. The inside is gold but, in certain lights, has a red sheen. The stitching has been done with care. The buttons are very unusual - metal with a flower design (a lotus flower?). Measurements (all approx) Neck to hem 24" Armpit to armpit 19" Shoulder to shoulder 14" A beautiful garment in very good condition. SFH
