This RO machine is designed to eliminate substantial amounts of salts, minerals, and other impurities from highly saline waters. It counters the natural osmotic process, which typically moves salt through a semi-permeable membrane from low to high saline areas. To halt this, the machine uses reverse osmosis, applying high pressure via a pump to the high saline side of the membrane. This forces salty water across, allowing only water molecules to pass through while rejecting salts and other impurities. The purified water emerges on the permeate side, while salts and impurities are drained out.
