These are pretty plastic buttons. I thought that maybe they were mother of pearl but they don't make a "click" sound when clicking them together, which I think means that they are just pretty plastic. They do look like pearlized iridescent plastic. There are almost 2 lbs of them and they would be great for craft projects where you need a lot of one type of button. I am not sure of the count and didn't want to count them. There are simply too many.
NOTE: You can also resell these. Just put them into little zip lock bags with maybe a dozen in each bag.
