VINTAGE HERMES EVERGREEN SOLID SILK TIE

VINTAGE - HERMES- EVERGREEN SOLID SILK TIE1BM Condition: Has 3 small stains (see pics), sewing unraveling at skinny end will need repair. Per the history of the Hermes logo tie tags, this tag was used in the early 1970's with made in France on the side of the classic horse and buggy. Hermes did not start using the Hermes Paris under the horse and buggy with the Made in France on the side until the late 70's.Ergo this tie dates back to the early 70's. I worked at Hermes for 8 yrs and sometimes employees obtained samples which were not quite finished or cut from the collection entirely. This is common place in any design house. Think this is one of those samples as it is missing the logo stamp and also the designer serial number which would fall under a production sample awaiting approval for production to the collection. This may have been dropped from the collection for color alone or non approval of the fabric as it does have a sheen to it. Due to the above factors and spots I lowered this asking price. 100% silk.
