The first 4 photos are of my actual piece, the other 8 were taken from another listing to show the detail & what it looks like in use. Large silverplate wine basket/caddy made in France for English silversmith IFS. An oversize, original, hard to find model with a loop to hold the end of the bottle's neck near the spout. It is marked semi-legible on the underside IFS Ltd and a hand holding a hammer, the hallmark of English silversmith Israel Freeman and Son. Israel Freeman and Son were importers 7 this piece is approx 1920s to 1950s. This type of basketry work is known as vannerie in French. In very good condition as shown. The actual piece has just enough tarnish to accent the detail of the wire. Wine bottle not included. The bright photos are of the piece that sold on Ruby Lane for $125. I have also included pictures of my actual piece. Measurements: 10 3/4" long by 4 3/8" wide by 7" high approximately. I have multiple items for sale & will bundle just send me a chat.
