X/1999 Volume 1 Prelude

This is a December 2002 English volume 1 printing of the prologue of X, right after Viz shrunk their manga volumes to a more traditional paperback size in Western markets, and before they homogenized the cover design of the entire X/1999 series in subsequent reprints. This cover style is quite uncommon in this print size, smaller than the large first editions from 2001, and the same size as the reprints from 2003 onward.

See photos for condition. It's literally 23 years old, and has been sitting in various bookcases and boxes ever since in the same smoke-free home. There are, of course, signs of wear and a few scratches, but nothing is falling apart, there are no major creases, no folds, and has not yellowed from age.
