- Students must earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a C to transfer credits.
1. Students who complete the ACS degree may transfer all 60 credits to UST towards the completion of a baccalaureate degree.
2. Students who complete fewer than 60 credits at Rosary College may use the following courses to substitute for UST equivalent courses:
- Either ART 101 or MUS 101
- COM 101 or 102
- HUM 101
- HUM 201
- HUM 301 or 401
- MATH 101 or 102
- PHIL 201
- THEO 101
- SCI 101 or 102
3. Students must earn a grade of C or better for each course they wish to transfer to UST.
- Accepts all 60 credits of the ACS degree program to fulfill university general education requirements.
- If students choose to transfer to Walsh prior to completion of the ACS degree, the credits they earned at Rosary College will be evaluated for acceptance on a course-by-course basis.
- Students must earn a grade of C or better for each course they wish to transfer to Walsh.
Noted for being South Carolina’s first college in the Catholic tradition, Rosary College is provisionally recognized in the Newman Guide and has special recognition from the Cardinal Newman Society for its Catholic identity. All courses are taught by faithful Catholic faculty, and seminars are small, averaging nine students per class.

Three Ways to Make It Work for You
Option 1
Complete the degree. Transfer as a junior.
Earn the full 60-credit Associate of Catholic Studies in Integrated Humanities at Rosary College, then transfer to a partner institution to finish your bachelor’s degree — entering as a junior, formation already complete, at a fraction of the four-year cost. Note that Thomas More College of Liberal Arts offers a dedicated St. John Henry Newman Transfer Scholarship for students transferring from peer Catholic institutions — Rosary College students may be eligible to apply.
Option 2
Start in high school.
Through our dual enrollment program, qualifying high school students — including homeschool students — can earn transferable Rosary College credit right now, at $227 per credit hour. A motivated student can arrive at college with a semester or more already behind them.
Option 3
Take a course. Transfer the credit.
Not ready to commit to a full degree? Take one course at a time—at just $810—and transfer those credits when you’re ready. It’s the lowest-risk way to begin a faithful Catholic liberal arts education.
What It Costs
For students who begin earning credits through our dual-enrollment program in high school, the total cost drops even further. Rosary College does not currently offer institutional scholarships, but we maintain an up-to-date curated list of external scholarships available to our students. What exactly is a credit transfer agreement?
A formal, signed agreement between Rosary College and a partner institution establishing that credits earned at Rosary College are recognized at our partner institutions — without repeating coursework or losing ground toward a degree.
Does a student have to complete the full associate's degree to transfer credits?
No. Individual courses taken at Rosary College may be transferred to partner institutions. See Option 3 above for details.
Does a student have to transfer?
No. The Associate of Catholic Studies is a complete, valuable degree in its own right. Transfer is an option, not a requirement.
How many credits transfer to each partner institution?
Transfer terms vary by institution. See the individual transfer agreement details below for specifics. Students should also contact partner institutions directly and apply well in advance of completing their degree to allow adequate time for evaluation.
Do partner institutions have their own admissions requirements?
Yes. Each partner institution has its own admissions process and requirements. Rosary College’s transfer agreements mean that credits are recognized at partner institutions — admission to those institutions is not automatic and must be applied for separately. Students are encouraged to contact each institution directly for current admissions requirements.
Does Rosary College have transfer agreements with Newman Guide colleges?
Yes. Rosary College — itself a Newman Guide Gold provisionally recognized institution — has transfer agreements with several Newman Guide colleges, including Ave Maria University, Thomas More College of Liberal Arts, and the Catholic University of America.
Are there scholarships available for Rosary College students?
Rosary College does not currently offer institutional scholarships, but we maintain an up-to-date curated list of external scholarships available to our students. Additionally, Thomas More College of Liberal Arts offers a St. John Henry Newman Transfer Scholarship specifically for students transferring from peer Catholic institutions — Rosary College students may be eligible.
Are classes online or in person?
Rosary College currently offers all courses through live, synchronous seminars, with plans to expand to in-person instruction as enrollment grows.
Can a homeschool student earn Rosary College credits while still in high school?
Yes. Through our dual enrollment program, qualifying homeschool students can earn transferable Rosary College credits while simultaneously fulfilling high school requirements — at a reduced tuition rate of $227 per credit hour.
Can dual enrollment credits count toward both high school and college requirements?
Yes. Homeschool families can count Rosary College dual enrollment courses toward their student’s high school curriculum in relevant subjects, while those same courses earn transferable college credit.
What subjects can a dual enrollment student take?
